This has caused 95 percent blindness in Michael Jackson's left eye and he can hardly speak and is fighting for his life. Michael Jackson now needs a lung transplant but is too weak to undergo surgery.

Earlier this year, Michael Jackson was seen in a wheelchair.



Michael Jackson had recently converted to Islam and had changed his name to Mikaael after his 50th birthday.



However a spokesman for Michael Jackson has denied that Jackson is ill and has said that it was a total fabrication.

Playboy's nude Virgin Mary sparks outrage

Playboy's Mexican December edition carries a picture of model Maria Florencia Onori posing as Virgin Mary on the cover. The model is seen wearing only a white cloth over her head and breasts. This issue has hit the newsstands just few days before the beginning of the pilgrimage to the Basilica of Guadalupe. This has caused outrage and widespread condemnation throughout Mexico. The annual pilgrimage to the Mexico City basilica dedicated to Virgin of Guadalupe, is considered to be one of the world's largest religious events.

Playboy has now apologised for publishing this picture saying that the company did not approve of or endorse the cover by the Mexican publisher.

In a statement issued to the media, Plaboy Enterprises Inc. said, "While Playboy Mexico never meant for the cover or images to offend anyone, we recognize that it has created offense, and we as well as Playboy Mexico offer our sincerest apologies."

Raul Sayrols, publisher of Playboy Mexico, said in a statement, "The image is not and never was intended to portray the Virgin of Guadalupe or any other religious figure. The intent was to reflect a Renaissance-like mood on the cover."

Playboy Mexico had printed 100,000 copies of the December issue.

Miss Russia Kseniya Sukhinova crowned Miss World 2008

21 year old Miss Russia Kseniya Sukhinova has been crowned Miss World 2008 on Saturday in Johannesburg, South Africa. The first runner up was Parvathy Omanakuttan from India while the second runner up was Gabrielle Walcott of Trinidad and Tobago. (Click to enlarge images)

Kseniya Sukhinova who is from Nizhnevartovsk, Siberia, was seen in a purple gown, which had a decorative neckline and a beautiful flowing skirt. Kseniya Sukhinova takes over the title from Zhang Zi Lin of China, to become the 58th Miss World.











Kseniya Sukhinova is studying for an engineering degree from the Tyumen Oil and Gas University. She is the second Miss Russia to win the Miss World title after Julia Kourochkina in 1992.









Sukhinova also won the contest's top model award and stood 3rd in the swimsuit competition.

"I think I can help people and I want to help people and today if I walk away with this crown I will do that," Sukhinova told judges through a translator after being asked why she should be crowned the winner.











Miss India Parvathy, said: "In India and South Africa people are warm and warm-hearted. I felt at home in Johannesburg."

"Presence of two great leaders Mahatma Gandhi (India) and Nelson Mandela (South Africa) have influenced millions of people in both the countries," she added.

South Africa, hosted the Miss World pageant for the sixth time and has became the country which has held more Miss World competitions than any other.

Around 1 billion people from across 187 countries have watched the event which was broadcast live.
